Challenges

  • Integration with existing plant foundations: The new foundation system had to be seamlessly incorporated into the existing structural layout, requiring careful planning and execution.
  • Temporary support systems: Multiple temporary supports were designed and installed to maintain the operation of critical infrastructure, including flue stacks, induced draft (ID) fans, and incoming crude gas ducting.
  • Live site constraints: All work was carried out within a fully operational industrial environment, demanding precise coordination and safety management.
  • Tight tolerances: Millimeter-level accuracy was required for embedded components to align with incoming equipment.
